Hailey Henderson-Paul

Hello! My name is Hailey Henderson-Paul, and at school students and parents can call me Hailey. This school year (2025-26) is my fifth year as the full-time High School Counselor, though I have worked at Friday Harbor Middle and High schools since 2018. Before moving to the island full time, I spent summers working on the docks at Roche Harbor while I was getting my undergraduate degree from the University of Washington. Once I finished my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Law, Societies, and Justice, I went on to earn my Master's of Education in Professional School Counseling from the City University of Seattle. 

When not at school, I spend my time gardening, hiking, skiing, learning to speak Italian, scuba diving, going to the beach with my 1.5 year old daughter, and traveling during summer breaks. So far I've been to Nepal, India, Thailand, Indonesia, Italy, France, Spain, Chile, and Iceland. 

My favorite thing about being a high school counselor is getting to know the stories of our students here in FH, and seeing them grow into awesome young adults.
